Case Support Volunteer Opportunities for Non-Lawyers

In support of the Pro Bono Project, Catholic Charities is developing a network of case support and interpretation volunteers to work in collaboration with attorney pro bono volunteer advocates.  Because our model recruits pro bono volunteer advocates from all legal practice areas, many have never worked on an immigration case before and/or do not speak the primary language of their pro bono client.  Case support and interpretation volunteers are a critical component of the Catholic Charities Pro Bono Project.

Non-lawyer volunteers able to assist with case support can dramatically impact a pro bono volunteer advocate’s ability to successfully represent a client.  Case support volunteers will be deployed to interpret at client meetings and interviews, assist in gathering documentation, obtaining records, and more!

If you are interested in providing ongoing case support or interpretation for pro bono cases, please contact Special Projects Manager Lucia Goyen or tell us a little bit about yourself by completing this brief case support volunteer information survey.
