D currently has temporary status in the U.S. under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. D started her own business in New York, which has become quite successful. Through her business she met H, a U.S. citizen client. They fell in love, and married in August 2017. The couple just bought a house together in Ulster County and are building a life together.  

Legal assessment:  H is eligible to petition for D to obtain a green card so that she can remain in the U.S. with her family. H and D need a dedicated attorney to help them prepare and file the required paperwork with the government so that their family can stay safely together.
