Facts: A has been a member of a currently persecuted political party in his home country of Bangladesh since 1992. He held leadership positions in the party after graduating from college with a degree in political science. Starting in 2010, he was monitored by the leading government party and threatened in front of his own home. In 2015, these threats intensified and although he relocated for his safety, A was kidnapped and tortured.
