Facts:  K is a 20 year old native of Honduras who fled her home last year with her three year old son. Her community accused her partner, C, of murdering gang members and he disappeared - just 25 days after the birth of K's child.  K's partner never came home after the gang members were killed.  Thereafter, K was harassed, threatened and menaced at every turn by family members of the murdered men. The people threatening her believed she was in contact with her partner and threatened to kill her and her son.  K moved to other locations in Honduras, but she was followed by both the police, who were looking for her partner, and gang members, who were looking to take revenge. Eventually, K fled to in fear for her life.  

Legal assessment:  K is eligible for asylum and has filed her application within the one year filing deadline.  K is terrified of what will happen to her and her child if they are forced to return. She needs a dedicated attorney like you to help them escape future harm and stay safely in the United States.  Her next check-in with the Immigration Court is scheduled for April 3, 2019 at 9:00 am.
